Pile Driving:
Copp’s uses its pile driving equipment to pound various types of piles into the ground. The objective is to provide a stable foundation for a variety of applications, including many different structures, such as pipelines, buildings, bridges, etc. Piles typically driven are from 4 – 18 inches in width and 9 – 20 meters in length; Copp’s has the capacity, however, to drive steel-pipe piles of up to 23 meters in length, 32” in diameter (larger diameters available for certain applications). Copp’s has a wide variety of pile driving equipment to allow us to provide the correct equipment for each specific job site.
Pre-Drilling:
Pre-drilling is drilling a pilot hole up to 90% of the pile size before driving the pile. Pre-drilling is required when solid conditions require it, such as when the ground is frozen or when rock and other hard formations are encountered. The pre-drilling units fielded by Copp’s use precision center-pin accuracy. We provide both air drills and auger drills depending on what ground conditions dictate.
Piling Sales:
Copp’s maintains a large inventory of various types and sizes of piling material. We regularly order shipments of piling materials from overseas mills, allowing us to be extremely cost competitive for any size of order.
